Sure if they had proper support, along with a mod marketplace and all, then people would expect those mods to be safe, which is a hard issue. The issue I see now is that they explicitly prohibit binary modding/reverse engineering of any kind in their EULA, and have an anti cheat running that I'm guessing might also trigger when you try to mod your SP game.Īs much as I'd love to write (SP) mods for D2R, I don't want to risk getting banned either, so I can totally understand the statement of the PlugY dev.Ĭiting security issues here sounds like a cop-out to me. If people want to mod their SP game, they just have to not work against them (as is currently the case in D2). They don't need to support anything as long as we're talking about binary mods.
